Labour weekend, for many it is a chance to celebrate the gains made in workers rights over the years, or talk about the issues seen as still facing workers. However for most in New Zealand it is a chance to enjoy time with family, or get paid penal rates at work. There are many events that are scheduled for Labour weekend. But, as we can all remember, Labour weekend has a habit of being pretty wet and misrable. Yesterday Labour leveraged off that with the following graphic:
Leveraging off an element of Labour day that we have all grown accustomed to to generate engagement has worked. The image has 52 shares and over 50 comments. Which, compared to the level of engagement that the National Party page is getting post election, is highly successful.
