Recently Twitter introduced support for gifs. Gifs provide the ability to post simple, animated graphics. Normally this is used to post memes. However, the Greens have used it as part of the promotion of their Thriving Kids policy announcements. Link to tweet
At the same time, they have linked in with Te Wiki o te reo Māori. They have used one of the constituent images in a still image on Facebook.
I personally like the gif better. But sadly Facebook doesn’t support gifs on pages. It is good seeing parties using the incremental developments that networks are rolling out. The gif that has been used is obviously a limited, two frame, gif. I suspect this, along with their earlier use of gif, will be used as a test to see how much engagement it generates.
