It is council election day in the UK today. Daniel Hannan has tweeted a thought that sums up my view, and why I want to see a strong opposition and a strong, healthy debate.
Thanks to all candidates, from whatever party, in today’s elections. Politics is an unpopular pursuit, but it’s better than dictatorship.
